I felicitate with Muslim faithful in Lagos Central Senatorial District, Lagos State and all over Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir 2018.
As a Nation with a budding democracy, many of our struggles can be resolved if we adhere absolutely to the teachings in the Holy Quran. We must put aside all inhibitions and reservations; and be willing to sacrifice our personal interests for the good and wellbeing of Nigeria.
Thus, even as we approach electioneering season, we must be pious, charitable, and tolerant of everyone regardless of religious, ethnic or political affiliation and differences.
We must also be reminded that leadership is sacrificial and only those who are God fearing should be saddled with this mandate. We ought to only vote for men and women who embody this and will serve our greater interest as a Nation.
Once again, I congratulate you all and pray that the blessings of this special season remain with you, now and always. Happy Eid-el-Kabir.
