I felicitate with all Muslim brothers and sisters in Lagos Central Senatorial District and across Nigeria as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitri.
I urge all the faithful to regard this year’s fasting and prayer as an opportunity to build up spiritual values towards service to mankind and the nation. “It is a time to renew our faith in God and ponder on the significance of commitment and personal sacrifice towards ensuring a united Nigeria.
The key tenets of Ramadan are to instil in the true believer a lesson in Self-denial, Sacrifice and Chastity. These are attributes that our nation needs at these trying times.
“This is a period to reflect soberly on how we can all promote peaceful co-existence and a sense of empathy, especially for our fellow citizens who have become victims of needless suffering and deprivations across Nigeria”.
Nigeria now has an historic opportunity to get things right and make life more abundant for every citizen. “This present dispensation demands our collective commitment and support in the task of nation building because together we can make Nigeria work again”.
