With his resurrection, Jesus Christ calls us to proclaim and live the gospel of true love and selflessness. Wherever each one of us stands today, it is possible to contribute something towards making Easter to signal the victory of peaceful coexistence and respect for common good.
“What you have received as a gift, give as a gift,” the Holy Bible tells us in Matthew 10:8. In this season, the resurrection of Jesus Christ should remain part of our anchor of faith through troubling times.
President Barrack Obama’s words ring out to all “The struggle to fathom that unfathomable sacrifice makes Easter all the more meaningful to all of us”.
As we observe this year’s Easter holiday, I appeal to every Nigerian to rise up to the challenge of moving our nation forward by thinking of others. Let us not be dismayed by the uncertainties around us; our Saviour who died so that we might live has given us cause for hope and salvation.
