Nurturing our Democracy
I felicitate with all Nigerians as well as the federal and various state governments on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day.
Like in previous years since 1999, May 29th is another public holiday in commemoration of Nigeria’s return to democratic rule, after several years of military interregnum. It is a poignant reminder of our struggle as a Nation and what it took to get us to where we are today; a reminder of the sacrifice and sweat of those who labored to ensure the rebirth of democracy in the land.… Read the rest
