Plans have been concluded for the successful hosting of this year’s edition of Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s Elderly Citizens Assistance Scheme (ECAS).
Like they did during the past two years’ during the yuletide season, the Elderly Citizens Assistance Scheme (ECAS) will benefit more than 1, 300 elderly citizens drawn from the 13 councils and Local Community Development Areas (LCDAs) that comprise Lagos Central Senatorial District this year.
Party Leaders and Elders, followers and stalwarts of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) are invited to attend the event scheduled to take place at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
Since inception of the ECAS scheme launched by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, on December 11, 2012 the scheme has made positive impact in the lives of elderly people drawn from about 2, 600 families.The scheme founded with the aim of beaming more light on the plight of elderly citizens in the society has thus met its core objectives with testimonials to that effect.
The scheme also reflects the APC’s people-centred philosophy and commitment to providing social safety net for neglected and vulnerable segments of the society.
Like the previous editions of the event, elderly persons would be celebrated and given the sum of N10, 000 and other gifts to enable them directly feel the essence of the yuletide season.
